Accounting Options are where you can set your Fiscal Year, Display Options, Credit Memos, and Finance Charges for your company and can be found under Settings/Accounting/Accounting Options or Accounting/Settings/Accounting Options depending on your permissions.
A. Fiscal Year is where you can select the date range that aligns with your company's fiscal year.
B. Display Options let you add GL Numbers at the beginning of your GL Account Names.
C. Credit Memos can be enabled to allow customers to track internal credit.
Note: Credit Memos document that the total owed to a seller has decreased.
D. Finance Charges can be set up to show on orders in Built and Invoice Statuses. You can enable finance charges, which are based on the Payment Terms you’ve set in Settings/Accounting/Payment Terms, then select where these charges will appear on your orders.
Example: If a customer hasn’t paid their invoice, you can assess a finance charge and it will show up on an order in Invoiced Status.
