Notifications are automated internal messages based on events that happen within your system. When a certain event happens, you can choose to trigger a notification. These can help you track orders and estimates as they progress and be engaged in the inner workings of your business.

To find and use Notifications, navigate to Settings / Notifications / Notifications.

Understanding and Creating Notifications
1. Select the Green Plus icon.
2. Select if you would like to start from the Notification Library, or Clone from Notifications to duplicate and customize a pre-created notification.
3. Choose if you would like to start with a template or a blank canvas.
4. Click Select.

5. Enter the Notification Details.
a. Notification Name.
b. Description - brief information about the notification. This can be seen from the notification library and should help you distinguish between notifications.

6. Enter the Trigger information. This is what will set off the notification.
a. Event Type - parent classification for an event, such as an order. The Event Type is the overarching classification for what the notification can be used for.
Example: If you select Order as the event type, all of the options within Event and Conditions will be related to orders.
b. Event - the more specific action that will happen. This is a more nuanced classifier of the Event Type.

7. Enter the Conditions.
Select which items will trigger a notification. Each item represents a separate condition. Items with an Arrow to the right of them indicate that further options must be selected to select that event. The system will walk you through all needed fields.
a. Fill in Object to give the basic criteria.
b. Fill in Condition to decide what the values should be.
c. Fill in the box next to Conditions. This box will change depending on the Object and Condition and is the final classifier of an individual Condition.
d. Subtract Condition Groups using the minus icon.
e. Use the Plus icon to add additional requirements within the same condition group. All conditions in the group must be met for the notification to send.
f. Use New Condition Group to create an alternate set of requirements. The notification will send if any condition group is met.

8. During the notification creation process, use the Preview results for conditions above button. This will help you check your work and view which items will trigger a notification.
Note: The Preview results for conditions above button and a saved notification will not send a notification for past events that met all needed conditions. Instead, the Preview button is to ensure the employee will receive the correct notifications in the future.

9. Select Recipients to receive this notification.
a. The Recipient Type will be Employee in most cases.
Note: Available Recipient Type options depend on your package. For access to additional options such as Roles and Teams, contact supportdesk@corebridge.net.
b. Use the dropdown to add one or more recipients.
c. Clicking the Minus icon removes the Recipient Group.
d. The Plus icon adds an additional Recipient Group.
Note: The Plus icon is only available if your package supports multiple recipient types or if a Recipient Group has been removed using the Minus icon.

10. Enter the information under Send this notification to select how the notification will be delivered.
a. Select if you would like an Internal Notification or if you would like to Send Email.
Note: When you select Send Email you will be provided with fields for From and To addresses as well as adding Attachments. Your options for From address will be limited to previously setup email addresses. For more information on email from addresses, please see Setting Up Email From Addresses.
b. Enter the Subject.
c. Enter the Body text for additional information to be shown. Use the {{}} button to insert a merge field. These will automatically populate with the correct information for each notification. For more information about merge fields, please see Merge Fields Overview.
d. Use the Green Plus icon to send both an internal notification and an email.
11. Click Save.
Note: To ensure the notification saved properly navigate to Settings / Notifications / Notification Library.

Note: Emails will be found outside the system within the employee's listed email address.
Internal notifications will appear under the My Profile / Messages and Notifications. The Mail Icon at the top right of the screen is a shortcut to received notifications. These can only be found from within the system.
