Changes from Legacy Reporting

1. Question: What changed from legacy reports to New Reporting?

Answer: New Reporting replaces many static, one-off tables with interactive dashboards designed for exploration and personalization.

You can drill into charts by clicking a bar or segment to view underlying details, then return to the original dashboard without opening a separate report. Many totals that previously appeared in table footers are now displayed directly in charts, with drill into used to view the supporting rows.

New Reports also support personalization. You can hide or show widgets, save a personalized layout, and revert back to the CoreBridge-published layout at any time.

Customizing Reports

2. Question: How do I personalize a report dashboard?

Answer: You can move a widget by using the move icon in the upper left corner of the widget. You can hide a widget by clicking the X on a chart or table.

Note: This hides the widget but does not delete it.To restore hidden widgets, use the Hidden Items control in the toolbar.

Click Save Changes to create or update your personalized layout. Use Get Source Report to revert to the CoreBridge-published version, or Get Personalized Report to switch back to your saved layout.

3. Question: Can I customize widgets and table columns?

Answer: You can remove top widgets and reorder or add columns within tables to adjust how data is displayed.

4. Question: Can I favorite a report I run often?

Answer: Yes. Click the heart icon to add a report to your Favorites list.

5. Question: How do I drill into details from a chart?

Answer: Click on a specific Chart Element, such as a single bar in a bar graph, or a pie wedge of a pie chart. Choose Drill Into, then select an option such as Order Number or Company. A detail table will display the matching records, along with an option to return to the main dashboard.

Reports Behavior

6. Question: How does data freshness work in New Reporting?

Answer: Reports show real-time data, so they update as information changes in the system. If a report is already open, refresh the page or use the refresh option in the header to load the latest values.

A “last loaded” timestamp appears in the report header to indicate when the dashboard last fetched data on your device.

7. Question: Why does sorting behave differently than before?

Answer: Sorting in New Reporting supports more advanced behavior than legacy reports.

Sorting is case-sensitive, so lowercase values appear after uppercase values. For example, “amazon” sorts after “Amazon.”

Multi-column sorting is also supported. You can open the sorting controls on a table to view or change the priority order of applied sorts.

8. Question: Why don’t table values repeat in every row?

Answer: The table renderer avoids repeating values to improve readability in summary reports. This reduces visual clutter and makes dense tables easier to scan without duplicating text on every line.

9. Question: Why do some table sort dropdowns show an “undefined” option?

Answer: Some tables sort by fields that are not displayed in the table output, such as technical IDs used to preserve workflow or status order.

In these cases, the dropdown may show the technical field used for sorting even though it is not visible as a column.

10. Question: How do filters and dates work in New Reporting?

Answer: Filters are available in the right-hand panel. CoreBridge publishes commonly used filters, and you can add additional filters as needed.

When using a “Between (Inclusive)” date filter, select both the start and end dates from the same calendar view if they are in the same month. This helps prevent the first date from resetting when you make your selection.

11. Question: Does New Reporting support localization?

Answer: Yes. Currency and date formatting are controlled by the country code set in Localization.

Note: Localization not passing to exports is currently being addressed.

Exporting Reports

12. Question: Can I export a report?

Answer: Use the Export action in the toolbar to export a full dashboard. Depending on role permissions and report configuration, exports may include charts and tables packaged together.

13. Question: Why does my export look different than expected?

Answer: Export results depend on the export option you choose.

  • Full Dashboard export includes everything visible on the screen.
  • Chart export downloads only the selected chart or table.

Dashboard PDF exports a snapshot of the data exactly as it appears on screen. Chart export works best when you’ve customized columns or need access to data that extends beyond the visible view.

14. Question: Can I print or email a report?

Answer: You can export reports as a PDF, which can then be printed or emailed as needed. While there is no in-app print option and grouped report packages are not yet available, automated and recurring email reporting is planned for a future release.

Reports Access

15. Question: Who can access New Reporting and how is it rolled out?

Answer: New Reporting is now the primary Reports Library and replaces legacy reporting. Available dashboards depend on role permissions and business configuration.

If you do not see New Reporting, contact supportdesk@corebridge.net to confirm licensing and access settings.

16. Question: How can I control who sees reports?

Answer: Report visibility can be restricted using report settings, such as limiting access to specific roles like Store Managers.

Custom Reports

17. Question: Can I create my own custom report?

Answer: While creating custom reports directly is not currently supported, custom reporting requests can be reviewed and evaluated to help meet specific reporting needs.

18. Question: What if the report I need doesn’t exist?

Answer: If a needed report is missing, reach out to support at supportdesk@corebridge.net to discuss a custom request.
