How to Use Calendars

After calendars are configured, they become the hub for day-to-day scheduling and handoffs across the shop. This article explains how to open the Calendars experience in CoreBridge EVO, move between calendars, add events, bring items in from linked external calendars when integrations are enabled, and attach estimates or orders.

EVO replaces the legacy My Profile / Calendars entry point with a dedicated Calendars area, the same Add event layout used on Sales / Scheduling, and updated navigation labels (for example + (Add Event) instead of the green plus, and Save instead of Save & Continue / Save & Close).

Table of Contents

Locating Calendars

Use any of these routes, depending on what your menu shows:

1. Open Calendars from the main navigation when the link is available.

2. From Sales / Scheduling, click the calendar button in the top app bar, then View Calendars to land on the same Calendars list.

3. Administrators can open Settings / Calendars (card title Calendars) to reach the directory; the breadcrumb may display Calendar Search even though the page heading reads Calendars.

4. On the list, click the calendar Name (for example Production) to open that calendar’s workspace. The breadcrumb updates to Calendars / {Calendar name}.

a. The heading area shows Calendar with a dropdown that lists every calendar you can open; pick another name to switch without returning to the list (this replaces the legacy sentence that referred only to a dropdown).

b. Click + (Add Event) to create an event on the calendar you are viewing. This replaces the legacy green plus control.

Note: A window opens for event details, described under Adding an Event.

c. Use Previous month and Next month to move the visible range. The distance moved follows whichever range button is active below.

d. Click Today to snap back to the current date after you browse away.

e. Favorites now surface in the top app bar calendar panel on Sales / Scheduling under Calendar Favorites. Use that panel when you want quick access while scheduling; the legacy heart icon on the calendar page itself is not used in the EVO layout checked for this article.

f. Choose Month, Week, Day, or List to control how events display, matching the legacy month / week / day / list behavior.

Adding an Event

You can add events from the Calendars workspace or from Sales / Scheduling; both open the same Add event experience.

Note: Events created in CoreBridge continue to sync to linked Google or Microsoft calendars according to your integration settings. Descriptions flow to those calendars, but linked estimates or orders remain inside CoreBridge only.

1. Open Calendars and select the calendar where the event belongs.

2. Click + (Add Event).

3. In Add event, complete Event Details:

a. Title (required).

b. Calendar: confirm Select Calendar matches the calendar you expect.

c. Categorize / Select categories for one or more calendar event categories. Administrators maintain values under Settings / Calendar Categories (EVO consolidates the legacy Settings / System / Calendar Categories path).

d. Set Start Date and End Date, clear All Day for timed events, and adjust the repeat dropdown when needed (defaults to Does not repeat).

e. Expand Address when the event has a physical location.

f. Add a Description if helpful.

4. Use Add Linked Record when you need an estimate or order on the event (see Linking Estimates or Orders).

5. Fill in any Quick Custom Fields your company added for calendar events.

6. Click Save to finish, or Cancel to discard. EVO does not use legacy Save & Continue / Save & Close buttons on this window.

Note: Calendar event Status values come from Settings / Workflow / Workflow Statuses on the Calendar Event tab. Substatus values come from Settings / Workflow / Substatuses and must already be linked to an item status. After saving, reopen the event from the calendar grid to change workflow fields your administrator enabled.

Adding an Event from a Linked Calendar

When Google or Microsoft is linked for a calendar, you can import external occurrences so CoreBridge mirrors what already lives in that provider.

1. Open Calendars and select the calendar that has the integration enabled.

2. Use the linked-calendar action your tenant exposes (legacy: hover the Linked Calendar icon, then choose Import External Events). Labels vary by release; if you do not see an import option, verify the integration is active and that your role includes calendar administration rights.

Note: The preview environment used for this article did not surface an import control on the calendar workspace; follow the on-screen prompts in your production tenant once integrations are configured.

Linking Estimates or Orders

Linking keeps sales context on the event record inside CoreBridge.

1. While creating or editing an event, stay on Event Details and click Add Linked Record.

2. In Select A Record to Link, set Order / Estimate and pick the document (search when the list is long).

3. Click Save on the picker.

4. Click Save on the main event window.

Note: Additional status or substatus prompts that appeared after legacy Save & Continue should now be handled by editing the saved event, consistent with the rest of EVO calendar editing.
