The Files side panel stores attachments on a record, such as artwork and proofs. Open an Estimate or Order, then click Files to upload files, create folders, and organize what is stored on that record. This article uses an Order as the example.
Note: Documents is a separate header action. Use Files for uploaded attachments.

Opening Files
Navigate to Sales / Orders and open the appropriate Order.
Note: You can also open Files from an Estimate in Sales / Estimates.

1. Click Files.

Files Side Panel
The Files side panel lists folders and files for that record.
a. Upload - Opens the Upload Files dialog so you can add files to the current location.
b. Folder - Opens the Create New Folder dialog.
c. Customer Shared - A system folder on the record.
d. Line Items - A system folder on the record.
Note: Select a file or folder to use Copy, Move, Rename, Download, and Delete.

Adding a Folder
1. Click Folder.

The Create New Folder dialog opens.
a. Folder Name - The name of the new folder.
2. Click Create Folder.
Note: Click Cancel to close without creating a folder.

Uploading Files
1. Click Upload.

The Upload Files dialog opens.
a. Drag and drop a file here, or click to browse - The area used to select the file to upload.
2. Click Upload.
Note: Click Clear to remove selected files without uploading.

Moving Files
1. Select the checkbox for the file or folder.
2. Click Move.
Note: Copy, Rename, Download, and Delete are also available after you select an item.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is Files the same as Documents?
Answer: No. Files stores uploaded attachments on the record. Documents is a separate header action.
2. Can I use Files on an Estimate?
Answer: Yes. Open the Estimate from Sales / Estimates and click Files. The same Files side panel is available on Orders.
3. What are Customer Shared and Line Items?
Answer: Customer Shared and Line Items are system folders on the record. You can add your own folders, such as Proofs.
4. Can I copy or rename a folder?
Answer: Select a folder you created, then click Copy or Rename. Download and Delete are also available after you select an item.
