When Fiserv applies a credit card surcharge at the processor (for example on a Customer Portal payment), Legacy V3 CoreBridge does not store or display that surcharge breakdown on receipts or invoices. CoreBridge shows the invoice payment amount, while the card may be charged a higher total that includes the Fiserv surcharge.
What this means in Legacy V3
- Legacy receipts and invoices do not include a separate line for a Fiserv processor surcharge.
- The amount charged to the card can differ from the invoice amount shown in CoreBridge when Fiserv adds a surcharge.
- For documentation of the full amount charged including the processor surcharge, use Fiserv or CardPointe reporting for that payment.
Evo option
Payment surcharge configuration and the surcharge lines customers see on receipts and invoices are available in the Evo platform. Legacy customers already have access to Evo. In Evo, Payment Surcharge can appear on the order, receipt, and invoice when surcharge is configured on a payment method in CoreBridge.
