Product Settings
Product Settings holds the defaults that follow the product onto an Estimate or Order. The card shows how many settings are saved.
a. Lead Time (Days) is the number of days orders use when calculating a production due date.
b. Hide in Order Entry, when on, keeps the product out of the Estimate and Order list without deleting it. On this product it is off, so Custom Sign Cabinet can be added to a line.
c. Assembly Defaults fill the starting Height, Width, Depth, Square Corners, and Radius Corners when the product is added. Enter the cabinet's real size on the Sales Form.
d. Machine and Labor Settings include whether the machine is on the Sales Form. On this product the machine is included, which is why Flat Stock Cutter / Engraver 2.15 appears on the form. Assembly Labor Time is the one-time setup, the per-each setup, and how many perimeter feet and corners are completed per hour. Those times in the screenshot are the rates saved on this product.
Note: Default Line Item Category and Default Workflow are optional starting values. Internal Framing links the frame. Add Framing By Default, when on, starts a new line with Add Framing checked.
- For every setting on the card, see Product Details.

Linked Components
Linked Components are the materials, labor, machine, and modifiers the product is allowed to use. The card counts linked rows and unlinked rows. A shop links its own catalog.
a. Skin Material is the sheet used for the cabinet skin. On this product it is set to Multiple Choices.
b. Assembly Labor is the labor used to build the cabinet.
c. The machine is Flat Stock Cutter / Engraver 2.15.
d. The modifiers are the face, back, retainer, framing, install, rush, and lighting options. Those options appear on the Sales Form. Internal Framing is conditional, so the frame is included when Add Framing is checked.
- For how to link or unlink a component, see Linked Components.
- For how a modifier differs from a product, see Products vs. Modifiers.

Enter the Cabinet
1. Set Quantity.
2. Select the Skin Material. On this product, this example uses Aluminum .040 48 x 96.
3. Enter Height (in), Width (in), and Depth (in). This example is 48 in high, 96 in wide, and 12 in deep.
4. Set Square Corners and Radius Corners. They start from Assembly Defaults until they are changed.
Note: The Machine on this form is Flat Stock Cutter / Engraver 2.15. Add Framing starts checked when Add Framing By Default is on. Choose the framing Material and Material Usage when the cabinet needs a frame. Full Frame uses the selected angle around the cabinet. Clear Add Framing when the cabinet does not need a frame. The frame is included in the cost only while Add Framing is checked.

Faces and Additional Options
a. Side 1 (Face) takes one face. The buttons are the modifiers linked on the product, so another shop can offer different faces. In this example the choices are Printed Rigid Face - Side 1, Printed Flex Face - Side 1, Skin (Push Through) - Side 1, and Custom Retainer - Side 1. Choosing one turns the other Side 1 choices off. A face is not on the line, and adds no cost, until it is chosen.
b. Side 2 (Back) is a separate choice from Side 1. In this example the choices are Printed Rigid Face - Side 2, Standard Back / Push Through - Side 2, and Custom Retainer - Side 2. A back is not on the line until it is chosen.
c. Additional Options are extra modifiers linked on the product. In this example they are Install, Production Rush, and Lighting. An option adds cost only after it is chosen.

Review the Price
1. Click Calculate.

a. Cost Breakdown lists Material, Labor, Machine, and Total Cost.
Note: Calculate prices the current Sales Form with the method on the Pricing card. On this product, Pricing Breakdown shows the job cost. The amounts below are one example: 48 in by 96 in by 12 in, quantity 1, skin Aluminum .040 48 x 96, with the saved method Cost Plus - Margin at 50%. Material is $35.01, Labor is $65.63, Machine is $0.79, and Total Cost is $101.43. A different method, percentage, or form value produces a different price. Click Calculate again after the form changes. The button label then reads Recalculate. Under Cost Plus - Margin or Cost Plus - Markup, the selling price is calculated from that total cost. Under a market method, the selling price comes from the unit price or the component retail prices. The selling price is the line price on the Estimate or Order.
